「When the scoffer is punished, the simple is made wise;

　But when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.」　　Amen.

The “scoffer,” the “simple” and the “wise” are mentioned, but in the sense of the Hebrew language, the “scoffer” are those whose minds are closed. The “simple” is one whose heart is empty. The “wise” means one whose heart is wide open to God. As a result, the “scoffer” is one who does not get better even if he is punished; the “simple” is one who sees others being punished and knows that this is wrong; and the “man of wisdom” is given the wisdom to make the most of others.  

　May we be given the wisdom to make the most of others today....
