「Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child;

　The rod of correction will drive it far from him.」　　　Amen.

　Children will not do good things without being taught, but they will do bad things without being taught. The Living Bible translates it this way: “Young people are full of rebellion. Since you have been chosen to be the parent of a child, you must not withhold the whip so that the child will be happy. At the root of this is the need for love for the child.
