Proverbs #58

Listen Later

The opening proverb states that it's important to live righteously and remember that God sees and judges all. Pastor discusses the two kinds of righteousness: the freely given righteousness in Christ and the righteousness pursued through imitating Christ. Caution against insincere worship is given. Genuine faithfulness in sacrifices and worship is emphasized. Examples of Cain and Abel are given to illustrate worshiping with the right heart. Pastor adds the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in believers' hearts, fostering a desire for proper worship and righteousness. Other proverbs covering in this teaching discuss the subjects of masculinity, wealth, suffering, and hypocrisy.
