「My son, if you become surety for your friend,

　If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,」　　Amen.

　Jesus became our neighbor. Even though He is God, He became a human being just like us and came down to earth. He paid the unrepayable debt of sin in our place. He put a crown of thorns on our heads and bled to death on the cross. Then, on the third day, He rose from the dead and saved us. He bore all the responsibilities of a guarantor.

　May we pray for our neighbors today.
