The call of the Gospel is given in just one word, Come. In order for us to see our need of Christ we first need to thirst and desire Him. Christ Himself says -come unto me and drink-. Christ assuages the thirst of all who come in repentance with living and eternal waters.

The risen Christ was confronted by unbelief again and again. Following a stern rebuke for hardness of heart He gave a clear mandate that the only antidote to unbelief will always be the Gospel, for believers and unbelievers. It must be preached to all people.

A contemplation of those things that will be found in the heavenly city and the entrance requirements to it.

A study of what heaven will be like for the Lord's people by reference to the things that will not be found there, either because they will be banished or because there will no longer be a need for them.

The resurrection is the crowning element of the eternal plan of redemption, proving that the final enemy of death was defeated by Christ. Paul spoke of knowing Christ and the power of his resurrection. What is this power- How has been revealed in history and how can it be known in our lives too-

The transforming impact of Christ's death and resurrection can be seen in many lives. We look at a Roman Centurion with no understanding of faith who witnessed Christ die- two secret disciples who needed to profess their faith openly and four women whose faith was strengthened after Christ rose from the dead.

There are many reactions to the cross and the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some realise its supreme significance as the greatest event of history, with life-changing power. Others merely pass-by. We ask with the prophet Jeremiah -Is it nothing to you, all you that pass by--

Paul says all who reject the Gospel are -without excuse-. Just like Israelites, who were witnesses to astonishing signs and wonders yet would not believe. We also witness God's invisible attributes through Creation. In rejecting God and the Gospel, we merely hold down and suppress the truth.

Our God is a promise keeping, covenant keeping God. After Abram and Sarai's faith had waivered, The Lord appeared and spoke to Abraham, revealing Himself for the first time as El-Shaddai, the all sufficient God Almighty. From now on, after Abraham had come to an end of Himself, God would wonderfully provide for Him.
