Paul, after revealing the true state of things pertaining to the Jew, answers the inevitable question in the minds of his Jewish hearers, "Then what advantage has the Jew?"

Paul demolishes the last refuge of the Jews.

Paul points out the hypocrisy of the Jews who had been blessed beyond all the nations.

The judgment of God falls on the Jew and is judged by a standard which cannot be met apart from Christ Jesus.

Those who are perishing in sin should compel us to proclaim the gospel.

Paul lays out two eternal states, life and death.

God judges according to truth and those who will not repent of sin will store up wrath for the time when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

Man has not seen fit to acknowledge God and has been given over to the sin they desire, though it leads to death. They not only commit these sins, they approve of others who are doing them as well.

God acts in relation to the idolatrous and sinful rejection of man.
