Mary has been the subject of much conversation and controversy over the centuries, and the passage we're covering today is part of the reason why. As we keep on in our study of the gospel of Luke, we cover Luke 1:39-45, the story of Mary visiting Elizabeth. This is the famous section of the Bible from where we get part of the Hail Mary. Should we pray to Mary? Should we honor her at all? The answers to these questions may surprise you (hint: they may not be what you think).

Two weeks ago, we looked at the story of Zechariah, who showed doubt in the face of unbelievable news. This week, we see a very different picture of Mary, who, when faced with some unbelievable news, acted with faith. Our study of The Gospel of Luke is only beginning!
