In this lesson, we are looking, what I believe, is one of the greatest arguments against Christianity: the seeming incompatibility of suffering and a good, all-powerful God. And while there are several ways that this objection can be addressed, the reality is that most of the time we encounter it, it’s not a question of philosophy but one of pain and loss. This lesson will focus on what answer the cross of Jesus gives us about why (fill in the blank) bad thing happened and how we can respond when others (and we ourselves) are left asking why a good God would allow this to happen.
