THE SOUND:

Uhrput does not "play" in any traditional sense. Their sound is the audible process of decay, a degenerative force in extreme music. Imagine lowering a hydrophone into a forgotten, seemingly bottomless well—not to record the splash, but to capture the slow collapse of the stones, the groaning of the earth, the bubbling of primordial silt, and the distant, shapeless vocalizations from something that should not be. This is the sonic territory of Put of Uhr. It is anti-progressive; it does not build, it erodes. The riffs are not so much composed as exhumed, dissolving as soon as they are recognized. The production itself feels like a crumbling artifact, a deteriorating tape reel found in a flooded vault.
