As the Serendipity Arts Festivalis about to begin this year, one of the most exciting performances is ‘Gabriel’s Trial.’ This powerful theatre piece, co-directed by Kausthubh Naik (Hauns Sangeet Natya Mandal) and Priyanka Pathak, explores themes of identity, colonialism, and the painful history of slavery. The play follows Gabriel, an enslaved man, as he struggles with different identities and the harsh systems that control his life. In today’s interview, we’re happy to have Kausthubh Naik with us to talk about the play, the creative process, and the important message it shares about the fight for freedom and self-discovery.
