In this epoch of entitlement and instant gratification there is a lot of backlash against working hard and earning accomplishments. These ideas of equity  are a slippery slope to a much lazier, victimhood centric society. But all perception is a conversation of the ego when dealing with self worth and what you believe "you" deserve. Parasites' consume because its why they exist.

Choosing your sacrifice was a subject that Jordan Peterson and Stephan Fry discussed which lead me down an exploration on passion. Me and the rest of humanity face the difficulties of balancing what we love and who we love and we find ourselves sacrificing for one or the other in a very unbalanced measure.

Learning how to love yourself is one of the most difficult undertakings because we are taught that external is often time the solution of internal issues. We never learn how to be alone properly and how to help ourselves.

Why do I care so much about those around me succeeding? Why do people have such strong opinions on politics and foreign conflicts? Why doesn't everyone judge individuals but instead judge from generalized stances. Why do I care? Why do you care...?

We discuss the importance of living an aware, present existence in order to truly experience heaven/nirvana  in this plain of existence. We point out in this episode that taking life for granted is living you actively being outside the present moment and therefore is much worse than death. It is denial of realty and therefore aids in your detriments that you so desperately attempt to avoid.

A cure for Fear would include one to be completely aware of his or her neighbor. As Humans we have forgotten, or rather, never learned to properly love and trust. We have not become aware of each others influence on the fabric of existence itself. We must learn to be aware.

Facing what scares you can have many benefits to your overall quality of life. In not doing the one thing we should do, (facing down our problems), we indirectly create more of mess out of life. We are often times more afraid to get hurt than the subject of the fear itself. We must face down our fears and fail time and time again in order to build up the resilience necessary to grow.
