Kathryn, a PhD student in the Department of Classics at Johns Hopkins University, joins Elena to talk about her current research interests, how she discovered a love for classics while at Puget Sound, and the way that Greek and Roman culture influences the City of Baltimore. In this episode from July 2019, alumna Claire Martin chats with Elena about her passion for Shakespeare and experience directing off-Broadway theater. Monica DeHart, Distinguished Professor of Anthropology, joins Elena to discuss her approach to teaching and explain how teaching at Puget Sound allows her to be both a "thinker and a doer." Kaitlyn, a double major in violin performance and psychology, tells Elena what it's been like to transition to online learning (spoiler: "it's been weird," but the School of Music faculty has been really fantastic) and what she's looking forward to in the fall semester.
