As many of you may know by now, the AAPI community, specifically in the States has been really shaken up by the recent tragic Atlanta mass shooting following the scary rise in anti-Asian racist violence in the U.S. 

While anti-Asian racism is nothing new, in the past year since the pandemic, anti-Asian hate crime grew by a staggering 150%, and mostly in NYC. And in the past year, while some influential Asian American voices have spoken out about this to bring to bear just how bad things are getting in the States - the AAPI community just wasn’t getting enough attention, awareness and support.  

Our host Chris shares how anti-Asian racism runs deep in American history due to the structural systemic racism in America and how this has made the AAPI community often invisibilized. But not anymore.
