A flood of first impressions for the new PS5 controller are in! Reviewers have had their hands on the PS5 for about a week now and a new embargo lifted today allowing them to talk about the PS5’s new DualSense controller.

We have had haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a little while now but reports are saying the new PS5 controller is very impressive. The different types of rumble are actually providing different sensations and feelings compared to the PS4 which just generally felt like it ever only had more rumble or less rumble. Trigger tension is also a big highlight in which early reviewers are saying, ““The first time a trigger fights you, you'll believe.”

This is all pretty exciting stuff and of course the new PS5 DualSense controller is also boasting to have twice as much battery life, a heftier feel, and a new more comfortable form factor. It will also be super fun to compare impressions with Xbox Elite 2 controllers and the new Series X controllers.
