In today's episode we look at Psalm 103.   This Psalm, written by David, encourages all of the universe to praise God for His wonderful acts of mercy towards us.  The psalm has 22 verses- the same number of letters in the Hebrew alphabet.  The covenant name for God (Jehovah) appears half that number of times.  It is an "envelope psalm" - it ends exactly the same way as it begins.  In the original text the verses are all of uniform length and contain two lines each.  This is a perfect song of Thanksgiving- there are no requests or petitions!  Let us reflect along with King David on the tender mercies of the LORD!!!
