1) How familiar are you with Psalm 23? Do you remember the first time you heard it? What was the context?
2) Read these verses: 1 Samuel 17; 2 Samuel 5:1–5; 2 Samuel 11:1–12:23. After reading them, how do you think more knowledge of David’s life will give you a better comprehension of Psalm 23?
3) When you hear “The Lord is My Shepherd”, how does that fit into your current view of God? Do you think it should change the way you think about God?
