Psalm 63: Intentional Meeting With God; Happy While Hunted

Psalm 63 was written while David was on the run in the wilderness. In verse 1, David intentionally rose early in the morning to seek God out. In verse 6, David by chance was awake at night and remembered and meditated on God. We need to be intentional/purposeful to make time to meet with our God so that when we wake at night we think of God rather than trouble. We all want God near us when we have all these cares and blame God when we have troubles. Your physical body needs your spiritual body to be fed more than to be physically fed. If you have no longing to spend time with God, we would question if He is a resident in you. You should desire a holy place/sanctuary to see God. What in your value system is worth more than your life that you would die for? Will you live for the same things? God from “I need this” to “I have this”. What we do with God in the past impacts our present. In verse 11, even though it is still troubled times, David is glad/happy while hunted.
