Tonight we resume our study in Psalm 25 and see how David, the psalmist who was a great rebel and sinner, asks God to forget his sins and faults of youth. We discover that God, who is a covenant keeping God, hears the prayers of those who confess and repent. In God's love and mercy we find forgiveness and we can be assured that our faith is grounded in God's work and not of our works.

We return to our study series in Psalm 25 tonight in verses 8 and 9 which first declare that God is good and upright. The second verse talks about meekness and we turn to the life of Moses and events recorded in Numbers 12 to explore 3 instances of the meekness and humility of Moses.

Harvest Thanksgiving

Tonight we consider the psalmist who penned a psalm which is a prayer of the afflicted. Focussing on verses 11 and 12 we see two things the psalmist says about Man and two things about God.-Man- A shadow and grass-God- Endures and will be remembered

Psalm 102 - Prayer of the afflicted

Today we consider the words and ultimately the ways of the two thieves on the cross alongside Jesus.-Three things from the unsaved thief--1- Are you not the Christ--2- Save yourself--3- And us--Three things from the saved thief--1- Do you not fear God--2- We receive the due reward of our deeds-3- He -Jesus- has done nothing wrong---The unsaved thief went the way of eternal condemnation but the saved thief went the way of faith and received God's gift and free offer of substitutionary atonement which means all his sins are covered by the sacrificial death of Jesus.
