Psalms 13 & 100

Katie Twitchett gives us a look at how the Psalms present examples of intense emotion - both joy and sorrow -encouraging us to present the whole spectrum to God.

Discussion Questions:

1. What movie (or song, book, etc) has made you cry?
2. If your heart were to honestly sing a Psalm right now, do you think it would sound more like a joyful song of praise, or a lament? Why?
3. Can you identify a moment in your life where you felt intense joy? How did you naturally express that?
4. Can you identify a moment in your life where you felt intense sorrow? How did you naturally express that?
5. WEEKLY CHALLENGE: Spend time this week writing out a simple prayer of either joyful praise or honest lament. Then express it aloud to God with all the honest emotion you have and natural actions that reflect those emotions.
