「Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;」 Amen.
The "depths" is a metaphor for a predicament or desperate situation from which one cannot escape on one's own. Everyone comes to this at some point in their lives, large or small. When we are exhausted, both spiritually and physically, we feel relieved when we look up and see the Lord's kind eyes upon us. The closer we are to the Lord, the sooner we can look up to Him and lift up our hands in prayer. "looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, the author and finisher of our faith" (Hebrews 12:2).
May we lift up clean hands in prayer today.
God bless you. See you next week.
