Going through my divorce a few years ago was when the toughest times of my life. The shame of failure he choked the life out of me. This Psalm was one of the things that help me get through that really tough time.

I used to think having a chip on my shoulder was a good thing. It was something that would drive me to be ambitious. But there’s some days that ship on my shoulder is just driving me nuts.

Taking a road trip with teenagers can be pretty rough sometimes. Our busy lives can keep us from hearing God and be able to have a chance to meditate on something positive. I’m gonna try to seek more time where I can listen to God.

A busy store parking lot always gave me anxiety when my kids were little. They got to the point where they knew they could just reach up and grab my hand and we get through the parking lot together. I find myself reaching out to grab God’s hand pretty often to get through this busy parking lot of life.

Have you ever seen a Build-A-Bear store at the mall? Maxine Clark created that store back in 1997 and she had a great idea. Kids were able to build the bear and place a heart inside that bear and give it a name. They had much more emotional connection to that bear, I’ve been trying to figure out how to build a prayer for myself for years. Prayers that I have a true emotional connection with.

The world is full of content that can really bring you down. I’m not as worried about the other humans being a bad influence on me. But I am really worried about the influence of content . I’m striving to find more community that helps me be in the truth, not among deceitful technology.

I never liked being told what to do. I seem to run the other way. However, I do like to learn. Finding your style of how you learn and grow in your faith is important.

I didn’t think I could have a Faith journey because I didn’t study the Bible. I thought it would be too complex and I thought I’d be embarrassed to be in front of others that knew the Bible really well. I’m finding out that’s not the truth. Healing can start as soon as you open your mind for it.

It’s tough for us to take a break. To relax. I think today I’m gonna let God force me to relax. And enjoy some time to rest.

It’s tough when you have a lot of bad things going on. You feel like you don’t even know where to start. I find days where I just need a list out all the things where I’m heartbroken or pissed off.
