Psalm 16: 1 – 11 (CSB)
The Psalms are written to be prayed, recited, sung and lived out - not merely to be read. David writes this Psalm in times of peace in his life and wants to lead his heart to hold fast to his love for and belief in God.
In Psalm 16, we are called to seek protection from the temptation of loving the things of the world above God.
We are reminded to pray at all times, delight in the community of God's people, and to put God as the centre of our pleasure and joy.
