Although David may be considered one of the main writers of the book of Psalms, there were others who contributed; such as Solomon, Asaph, Heman, and Ethan. And, in many of David's writings, he expresses his struggles and hardships with such determination to "Trust in the Lord," regardless of what he was dealing with at any given time. King David is one of the many authors of the book of psalms, who expresses exactly what he feels at any given time. In different scriptures throughout, the book of psalms, he expresses his feelings during times of joy, sorrow, heartache, difficulties, struggles, hardships, etc.. and as a shepherd boy, he learned to trust God no matter what. He learned to be open and honest when he talk to God about his problems and in the midst of the test and trial, he would praise God for his marvelous deeds.
King David made mistakes and in Psalms 51:10, he asked God to create within him a clean heart, David cried out, "O God; and renew a right spirit within me." He sought to restore the fellowship that he had with God, and he continued to put his faith and trust in God throughout his lifetime.
