  • Does the Lord Listen? (Psalm 4)

There is no doubt that as Christians we still struggle with sin. Probably one of the most shameful things is that we do not have confidence in the covenant of grace. How sure can we be based on the promises of God that He actually cares? How sure can we be that the Lord actually cares about the little things in our lives? How do we know that having our grounding in the Lord really establishes something significant? If you are curious about these question please stay tuned to our sermon titled, "Does the Lord Listen?"

  • The King Dethroned? (Psalm 3)

It is nice to hear that the Lord reigns, but how do we know that the Lord can really triumph over all the powers of this age? I mean you can declare anything you want about yourself, but the challenge is showing that radical claims are actually true. So, how do we know that God really can sit in heaven and laugh at the schemes of man? How do we know that God will win and will always prevail over evil? How do we know that His kingship will alway be enthroned in glory? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, "The King Dethroned?"

  • The Triumph of the King (Psalm 2)

It is interesting that when you survey history that many times nations think that if they make a treaty they will establish peace. I am not saying that treaties are bad, but will there ever be peace in this age? How do those treaties show that in reality, they are not establishing peace at all? What is the irony in the nations trying to find peace in their own schemes? Where should we all find our peace and hope in the Lord? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, "The Triumph of the King."

  • The Righteous Prosper (Psalm 1)

It is interesting that Christians can look at the scripture and some can say that a pious life is one of poverty. There are others who can look at the same revelation that God has given us and say that riches are a sign of God's favor. Now, if we look at Psalm 1 it seems that if we obey the Lord then we will be very blessed. Yet, this is not always true for every Christian. You can find other places in scripture that the pious are not always blessed with an easy life. So, how do we handle a Psalm like Psalm 1 in light of the rest of scripture? What is our hope as Christians in this life? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, "The Righteous Prosper."
