Joel and Aurora discuss the value of informational interviews.

In this episode, we will argue that after COVID-19 it will become more important than ever to:

1)    Get inside information.2)    Have relationally-integrated experiences.3)    And have discipline-integrated experiences.

Specifically, I believe that this experience with mandatory distance learning will prove to all psychology students that the credit hours, the courses, the curriculum, and the credential are only half of the college experience you need to get the knowledge, skills, and credentials you need to succeed.

Put simply, the three magic ingredients that transform a college education from average to extraordinary are inside information, relationally-integrated experiences, and discipline-integrated experiences.

We will also talk about how to get some now and later when the campuses reopen.

Joel and Aurora discuss the value of undergraduate research.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has disrupted daily life. What is going on? How do we cope with stress during this turbulent time?

Joel and Aurora discuss whether or not you should complete a minor, and the value of internships.
