Psychotherapist Terri Cole helps you define your boundaries and navigate codependency in your relationships

Listen Later

There are many myths about what it means to have boundaries and why we may be afraid or unwilling to set them. Many women, says psychotherapist Terri Cole, are often raised to “be a good girl.” This is the highest virtue many women are raised to offer: Being liked. But when we prioritize other people over ourselves, it leads to a place of anger and bitterness. Terri Cole calls it “the disease to please.”

Her book Boundary Boss-The Essential Guide to Talk True, Be Seen and (Finally) Live Free will show you have to express your preferences, needs, and limits so you can live the happy, healthy life you deserve.

Her mission is teaching women how to attract and sustain healthy and vibrant love into their lives and how to establish and maintain effective boundaries with grace.
