Well, injuries and cold bats have derailed the Reds season so far. That continued on Wednesday, May 8, when Christian Encarnacion-Strand was placed on the IL. However, the Reds did get a little good news after Matt McLain’s follow up appointment to evaluate his progress after shoulder surgery—he has been cleared to participate in light baseball activities in the next few weeks.
