PT Tennessee Virtual Roundtables

For our final episode, we pass the mic to some of the PT Tennessee Board of Directors for a timely and reflective conversation about 2021 and beyond! PT Board Chair Ellen Zinkiewicz hosts the conversation with Rev. Dr. Cynthia Davis, Jennifer Carlat, and PT 2012 alumnus-turned-board-member Drew Lamb. They reflect on PT during COVID, its impact, and their hopes and dreams for the future—not to mention some cute stories sprinkled in between.

Rev. Joy Warren (host pastor) is joined by Christina Dotson (PT staff) and Sarah Franklin (PT Fellow alumna) to reflect and remember 2020, the jostling year that gave Middle TN both a tornado and a pandemic in a week's time. They share memories of hope in the midst of tragedy and give thanks for the ways that PT helped to continue to create community in the isolation that COVID-19 brought on.

For our 2019 episode, we head down to the Stones River District to reflect on PT at LaVergne UMC and Woodbury UMC. PT staff member Carrie Sherrill hosts and is joined by alumna Angela Thomas, and volunteers Dorothy Murphy and Rev. Sally Millsap. Together they discuss the healing power of community, encouragement, and partnerships—and the all too important question, "Are you Gucci?"

We spotlight on the Memphis community for this special episode! MVPs Kim Wicks (4x intern alumna and current PT Board Member), Meagan Cloutier (PT staff), Nic Seymour (4x alumnus), and Rev. Dr. Deborah Smith (former host church pastor and district superintendent) have a story-filled conversation about the summer of 2018 in the beloved 901. Kim brings the hype, Nic brings the realness, Meagan shares the love, and Dr. Smith preaches the Good Word.

We zoom in on the inaugural PT summer in Clarksville for this week's episode, featuring hilarious and heartfelt stories of transformation and resilience. PT staff member Ellie Crain hosts the conversation about 2017 with good friend and alumnus Ben Grayer, former host church pastor Rev. Haley Robinson, and PT champion and volunteer Lisa Martin.

It's MattMem week! Taylor Davenport-Hudson (2016 Site Coordinator and Afterschool Fellow) hosts a wonderful conversation with Afterschool intern alumna Carleigh Frazier Ahmad and five-time host pastor Rev. Steve VanHooser. Hear how “Pizza Steve” got his nickname, the saga of the soapy church pews, and sacred moments of connection and new life at Matthews Memorial UMC in Madison.

This week, we zoom in on the PT host site Antioch UMC! PT Antioch intern alumna Emily Lewis hosts a conversation with Pastor James Cole and volunteers Mary Jane Hurt and Jeff Hoffman.

This week, hear from PT staff member Sarah McCormick as she hosts a joy-filled conversation with PT intern alumni Rev. Luke Lea and Abigale (Lawrence) Hughes and Tulip Street PT parent, Victoria Gordon. The group remembers water raps, cookie counts, and lessons that have lasted.

Join host Morgan Stafford as he chats with Pastora Myriam Cortez, former PT participant Gerardo Amaya-Quinteros, and PT intern alumna and volunteer Keller Hawkins. Shout-outs abound in this episode, along with silly stories and evidence of the power of relationships.
