On the third episode of our student series we sit down and share a cup with Matthew Johnston from Queens University. MJ is a second year PT student who is just wrapping up his final placement and getting ready to crush his national exam.
During this conversation we talk about his passion for running, overcoming the adversity of not getting into PT school on the first try, and much more. It has been an amazing experience for us to sit down and talk with all of these outstanding students. To see where their minds are at so early in the game, gives us confidence that this profession is in good hands.

On this episode we sit down with Danielle and Tyler to talk about the launch of their new business Race Ready PT. Danielle (@runfitdoc) is a PT and run coach who has been a past ptcoffeecast guest before and we highly recommend checking out her episode if you haven't heard it. Tyler (@tyguy.dpt) is also a PT, run coach, and former decathlete who has joined forces with his sister to deliver high quality care to runners.
We cover why virtual care is so valuable, how it can be beneficial for runners, and we dive into some common misunderstandings runners have around pain & injury. We really enjoyed this episode because we have also been seeing more runners via virtual rehab and to sit down and pick both Danielle and Tylers brain was great.

On this episode we did our second live podcast ever with the Western PT Class of 2020. We had the pleasure of doing a live episode last year which you can check out here. This episode if filled with awesome questions that were asked to us by the students! We touch on areas such as, the importance of establishing values, dealing with impostor syndrome, how to make sure you are choosing the right job, and much more. We want to give a big shoutout to a Darryl Yardley and the rest of the Western PT Class of 2020 for making this a great episode.
