Public data –things like weather forecasts, health statistics and government research – shapes our daily lives and informs major decisions.

But much of this information is becoming harder to access, or even disappearing altogether, raising urgent questions about transparency, accountability, and public safety.

To answer those questions and more, KCBS Radio anchor Eric Thomas spoke with Dr. Margaret Levenstein, research professor at the University of Michigan.
