"Dear Mamas, I saw that post on Facebook this past weekend regarding the Mom who questioned the dad in the stands after his son blurted out for him to "shut up!" I know things are different now but should respect EVER change? I see more and more young parents afraid to discipline their children for fear of embarrassing them. I feel like if they embarrass you, they open themselves up for whatever embarrassment you give them. I’m curious about this generation of parents. What are your thoughts? Do you now or did you then, care if your kid was embarrassed if you disciplined him/her in public?"
"Where you cut up is where you GET cut up." The Mamas, Teri and Denise, had some great words for us on public parenting and discipline on last night's "What Would Mama Do?" Be sure to take a listen.
"What Would Mama Do?" airs on American Ground Radio every weeknight.
