We talk a lot about the education system, and how it has changed and what has to be done to be successful in the current culture of education. We hit on standardized testing, teacher retention, the change in students and parents, and even the challenges of getting graduate degrees while working.

In this episode of Public Servants' Announcements, we get to talk to Marion Fuller. Not only does he give back with his nonprofit GoldMyNe Outreach, but he is also an avid hoops fan. We touch on Deion Sanders, the crab in a barrel mentality, what it's like being from a small town, and the impact coaches can have on their players long term. This is a great episode that ends with some PHENOMENAL advice, so make sure you make it there.

In this episode, I talk about mental health. In what will probably be a multi part series about how religion, spirituality, and mental health intertwine. I will talk about my experiences, how God has helped me through some of my darkest moments, ad how I continue to learn and grow in God to work on myself and my mental health.

In this episode with Eric Billings, my college roommate, we learn about the counseling life. Eric is an LPCA that does Drug and Addiction Counseling and counseling for convicts being released from prison. We talk about that, the journey to take him from an Aerospace Engineering major to counseling, and existentialism. He gives some great advice, and we also hear how our podcast, Public Servants' Announcements, wouldn't be a thing without him.

In this episode we hear Ms. C talk about a lot of different aspects of teaching. She starts with explaining why and how she is able to break math down to a level of understanding for all students. Then she talks about how the military helped prepare her to be a middle school math teacher. And then, of course, we get into testing and its effects on her ability to teach all students the best way she can. But she ends with an important message about self care and building a community in your workplace. Great conversation with a lot of insight.

In the final episode of this series, I discuss how God just wants me to start doing whatever it is he is telling me to do. We use the story of Zerrubabel started the temple that would last over 500 years to show how he is "pleased with small beginnings."
