How about those WSU Cougs, but remember the discussion regarding Kyle Smith’s future as the head coach at WSU, that’s up in the air because Ohio State is parting ways w/ basketball head coach Chris Holtmann… The Cougs are 18-6, second in the PAC-12, assuming they continue to play well, coach Smith will be a candidate for the open spot at Ohio State. The Seahawks are reportedly interviewing Oakland Raiders assistant Fred Walker for QB’s coach. The Niners loss the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs, and players take to social media and blame one another, are the Niners falling apart right in front of our eyes.

It’s almost time as baseball season nears. The Mariners pitchers and catchers are set to report on Thursday February 15, and position players will report on Tuesday February 20. Puck and Jim go through a few areas on the roster and have the discussion if this team is better, but they still have to recoup in what they had in Eugenio Suarez, so at 3rd base there’s certainly a question mark. We wrap things up w/ Ian Furness as he shares what he has planned on his show today.

The Seahawks have a brand-new staff, and their best hire might be Leslie Frazier who is the Seahawks assistant coach, and Puck and Jim see the vision on what John Schneider is doing, a young staff w/ a veteran leader. Ian Furness posted a poll asking who folks would want to see at quarterback for your Seahawks in 2024, Geno Smith, Drew Lock, Michael Penix or other. The guys share who they voted for, and the discussion continues about the fit of a new QB on the Seahawks roster, if indeed Geno is out.

Puck and Jim talked about it all week last week regarding Kyle Shanahan making mistakes that cost him and the team a championship and when the game was on the line he doesn’t execute and gets in his own way. Why not run Christian McCaffrey, what about not using timeouts to end the half, him not being aggressive to get the ball back and go score. The Seahawks have ripped off the band-aid and are going in a different direction, and that is exciting for the future. The Mayor makes his appearance and shares what he has planned for his program today.

The guy’s pivot to the discussion regarding Ryan Grubb becoming the Seahawks new offensive coordinator, but Jim is not happy about how things went down as he announced he’d be Alabama’s new O.C., and about 48 hours later Grubb is the Seahawks new offensive coordinator. New overtime rules, who really knew what was going on, was it inexcusable that Kyle Shanahan didn’t know or understand the overtime rules.
