In this edition of Pool Party, Robert and Paul jump into the latest Marvel and DC buzz to a surprisingly deep dive into the Dark Souls comic (yes, apparently everything gets a comic).
They get hyped about the upcoming Supergirl movie—mainly because Lobo is in it, and who doesn’t love that chaotic space biker? Then nerd-wander into the newest issue of Arcadia, where Batman, Green Arrow, and a hefty dose of moral ambiguity take center stage. They also get philosophical about The Question, the faceless detective who brings all the noir vibes.
Naturally, things spiral into the logistics of the Batcave (because someone had to think about who built all that stuff), the ever-morphing madness of Arkham Asylum, and Batman’s multiverse shenanigans.
They chat about the Night Fight series, rich-guy ethics in Arcadia, urban terrorism in the Black Label line, Green Lantern’s very specific fanbase, superhero relationships, and even the eternal struggle of keeping up with your pull list.
Basically, it’s two friends geeking out, overanalyzing everything, and having the kind of comic-book conversation you wish you overheard at a convention food court.
