This year is the year of the golden jubilee. On July 10, the Bahamas, where I was born, will celebrate fifty years of independence. Hip-hop, the culture that raised me, celebrates fifty on August 12. While this is a wonderful occasion, there is still much work to be done. Here's to another 50 years of expression, culture, history, and development.
