Louis Jung is the founder of the University of British Columbia Free Speech Club (UBCFSC).

The group, controversial since its inception, hosts political and academic events with the theme of open debate and dialogue. "The UBC Free Speech Club is nonpartisan and committed to cultivating an open dialogue on campus, where arguments are made with wit and reason rather than rhetoric and personal attack. We cherish a diversity of opinions and seek to promote an open debate stage, where political correctness no longer holds sway."

I met with Jen and Natalia to talk about their work with those convicted of sex offenses, the struggles and successes of the work, and why they do it.

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) offers an alternative strategy that creates a caring community around people at high risk to re-offend who, more often than not, would feel fearful and isolated. While much of society considers people with high risk of re-offense as hopeless, CoSA seeks to respond with constructive integration based heavily on the philosophy of Restorative Justice.
