Do you ever watch your children from a distance just to see how they act when you aren’t around. Our heavenly father is always watching us even though most of us live life as if He is not. Why does He? He can because He’s God, He cares about us, and He wants a wonderful relationship with us. Because He gave us free will, it is us that either turn to or shamefully turn away from Him. Never the other way around because He will never leave us or forsake us. Let’s turn to God’s Word and see just a wonderful our heavenly Father is.

Have you ever had to learn a lesson the hard way? If you’re human, you most likely have. Probably more than once, too. Well, if you’re familiar with God’s Word, you’ll know that the Jews have had to learn the hard way, time after time, after time, after time, after……you get the picture. If we listen for the Lord, follow His leading and just trust Him with our availability from the very beginning, we just may grow into a more thankful people which in turn will lead to diminished complaining. 1st Thessalonians says in every thing, give thanks! What a wonderful concept. Let’s join Pastor as he shows us where Jesus is teaching His disciples a lesson in giving thanks, again, from the book of Mark.

Have you ever felt as if people didn’t approach you at one time or another in your life because you were different or peculiar to them? Well, scripture says that we are different and that none of us are the same. We may have some similarities but in most areas such as character, emotions and beliefs, we are different. Our Lord Jesus Christ shows us in the Bible how we should be to others, which is to be more like Him. He teaches us that no one is too defiled to approach and that people, all people, are important to reach with the Gospel. Let’s follow our Lord in the Book of Mark and see just how valuable one soul is to Him.

Do you have a tenacious spirit? Sometimes it can be used for good and sometimes it is used for bad. Either way, it is likely that it is a controlling substance that has a stronghold over you. In the Bible, tenacity has hurt the Jews who basked in their own stubbornness, but sometimes, like in the case of the Syrophoenecian woman, it was persistently used to gloriously praise the Lord Jesus Christ. If during a period of rejection, the God still is asking you to come now, and let us reason together. What comforting words they are to those that persevere and strive to draw close to our Father in Heaven who loves us dearly.

Do you fall in lock step with the secular world that believes that everyone is inherently a good person? So, when things go wrong they can claim to be a victim instead of being humble and taking responsibility for their own actions. Have you ever taken the time to see what God says about man’s attitude, his character, and more specifically, his heart? God knows us better than we know ourselves because He’s God and He created us. He gets sad at our sinful condition and sometimes angry, and righteously so, but He doesn’t leave it there. He’s left us a way for us to be free from our carnal nature. He gave us a Savior, Jesus Christ.
