Hey guys. It's officially the summer season and television has gotten weird. Mike Myers is an odd British dude, animal hybrids are killing people in the future on "Zoo" and "Twin Peaks" just delivered the weirdest hour of TV ever. Welcome to the jungle.

NEWS:

• Kevin Bacon and Jason Blum are bringing a "Tremors" TV series to SYFY. The first season will be 8 episodes and will be about Bacon's character from the original movie, Valentine McKee, 25 years later.
• George R.R. Martin has a new show coming to SYFY based on his book, "Nightflyers." It's a nearly 40-year-old book about a team of scientists whose intergalactic voyage is upended by the ship's computer, and the discovery of an alien species. NBCUniversal is calling it "The Shining in space" … Go home, NBCUniversal, you're drunk!
• Alexis Bledel's character, Ofglen, will return as a series regular for Season 2 of "Handmaid's Tale"
• Sissy Spacek, Jane Levy and Melanie Lynskey have joined the cast of Hulu's "Castle Rock"
• Molly Ringwald will return to "Riverdale" as Archie's mom in Season 2
• AMC renews "Better Call Saul" for a fourth season
• ABC has canceled "Downward Dog"
• Netflix has canceled "Girlboss" after one season
• Netflix has renewed "F is for Family" for a Season 3
• Youtube is moving forward with a new 10-episode drama titled "Step Up: High Water." It's continuing the film franchise and will star Ne-Yo, Glee's Naya Rivera and Couples Retreat's Faizon Love. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum are on as executive producers.
