NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK:

• The Season 8 midseason finale of "The Walking Dead" brought in just 7.9 million viewers. This is the lowest midseason finale ratings for the show since Season 2, which drew 6.6 million viewers. That said, it was still TV's top-rated show of the night.
• Disney has officially purchased 20th Century Fox for $52.4 billion dollars. All the movie and TV properties Disney will get from the merger.
• Netflix and Dreamworks have partnered for six new shows in 2018 and a new "She-Ra" is on that list.
