Frank gave away boxing to protect his health and family. He brought his grit and elite physical fitness to the sport of cycling where he would win multiple championships and be offered a contract to compete in Europe.
As the self proclaimed inventor of “road rage”, Frank would occasionally get into tussles with his helmet clipped up and cycling shoes on.
Frank got hit with a diagnosis of CREST disease early into his adulthood. He went from being a leader in professional cycling to someone who was at the back of the pack. This deterioration was primarily due to his Scleroderma condition which saw him rapidly drop weight and become weaker and weaker as time went by. Frank faced the harsh reality of autoimmune diseases head on and, as natural to him, kept rolling with the punches.
Frank and Brenda ultimately set up multiple businesses in the car repair space in Perth. It was here where Frank’s people skills, perseverance and compassion directly attributed the businesses leading them to success.
This episode wraps up the recordings to date and Frank is over the moon with how this short series has turned out. Currently, Frank is finishing up a book diving into detail and more stories. One day those stories may make their way over to the podcast world so stay subscribed for notifications!
