Growing up as Air Force brats, sisters Sinaiyah and Azara Emami experienced firsthand the unique challenges and sacrifices that come with military life. Both parents served in the United States Air Force. Their family’s journey became even more personal as they navigated life with a father and husband living with severe **PTSD, giving them a perspective on military service that extends far beyond the uniform.
Determined to raise awareness and create a supportive community for military families, the sisters launched ‘We Signed Up Too’, a blog dedicated to sharing stories, resources, and honest conversations about the realities of military family life. Through their platform, they give a voice to military kids whose sacrifices are often overlooked.
In this episode of Punk Brats, Saniyah shares her family’s story, the impact PTSD had on their lives, and how she and her sister transformed their experiences into a mission of advocacy, education, and support for military families everywhere.
Join us for a heartfelt conversation about resilience, healing, and the power of turning personal challenges into purpose.
