PPS - Pavlovian Political Sycophancy, it's often on displays at award shows within the entertainment industry. PPS is defined by the shallow, predictable and manipulable response of a given person or crowd within the parameters of political discourse.

Freedom of speech is important, not so folks can hit the bullseye on their first shot but so we can build together and refine each other's ideas. In this Episode, I discuss kernels of truth and core accuracies. If you have a new and interesting insight which turns out to be only partially correct, the correct portion of that insight will prove to be a valuable entity unto its self. I don't peddle in FULL confidence of my ponderings, in this vein, but rather present to the world how I think I may be "on to something" - whenever that occurs.

In the political and social discourse of today, there are particular pre-judgments and presuppositions which have been mainstreamed and go largely unchallenged in the public sphere. I challenge the unchallenged of any such attitudes or beliefs. If you adamantly proclaim to have arrived at a societal answer, I adamantly command that you "show your work".

How would you define the relationship between political correctness and self-actualization? Is it a good one? Symbiotic? Mutually beneficial? I dare say it is not. I dare say that for many individuals there is a negative correlation between observed political correctness and self-actualization and that we shouldn't stand for it.

Lest we forget our freedom, we ought to use it in our quests to be our best selves. Lest we waste our liberty, we ought to cooperate in a synergistic meeting of minds, a civilizational brainstorm in which individualism serves the individual as well as the collective. To be out for one's own interests and also the interests of all mankind need not be mutually exclusive motivations, in fact, the combination of these goals can maximize the extent to which each is achieved. Start by independently defining what role you'd like to serve your society.

Are you tired of being force-fed political views from venues and channels that don't nominally specialize in politics, and channels that narrowcast but don't own up to it? Don't let yourself explode - Spit out the feeding tube.

With recent challenges to free speech and expression and pervasive intolerance of intellectual diversity in western societies, I decided it was important to discuss the moral culpability of individual participants in the collectivized tyranny of our times. Where there is intentional and socially engineered group think, we should consider using the phrase "social tyranny".

In this podcast, I reflect on John Stuart Mill's 1859 philosophical work On Liberty about the struggle between authority and individual liberty. I relate the ideas espoused in On Liberty to the zeitgeist of NOW, suffice it to say Johnny Boy is rolling over in his grave!
