**Without a Mediator, Holiness Kills** 

In this powerful episode of Voice of God, Joseph Z unpacks the overwhelming impact of God's pure holiness when it collides with human sin. He reveals how Jesus became our divine mediator, shielding us from the consuming fire of God's perfection. He explains that God is pure holiness, incomparable in His purity and magnificence; He embodies life, and there is no darkness in Him. Joseph emphasizes that pure light is repulsed by the sight of unveiled sin, as illustrated by the fear the Israelites felt at Mount Sinai when confronted with God's voice. Joseph elaborates that humanity, in its fallen state, cannot withstand exposure to God's perfection. Sin, inherited from Adam, would be intolerable to God's holiness. Without a faultless mediator, facing God's holiness could be fatal. He references Exodus 19:19-24 to further illustrate how God’s holiness can be harmful to humans in their fallen state.

Another example of the lethal effects of God's holiness when confronted by sin can be found in 2 Samuel 6:7. In contrast, Luke 2:10-14 shows how God changed the narrative through Jesus, underscoring His desire to connect with His people. Therefore, it is crucial for everyone to repent and turn to Jesus for salvation, as there is only one path to repentance and new birth, found solely in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Joseph also references Hebrews 1:3, 2 Corinthians 4:4, and Colossians 1:15 to illustrate that Jesus is God's expression to us. He emphasizes that God desires to communicate with us even more than we wish to hear from Him, and He accomplishes this through Jesus, aided by the Holy Spirit. Finally, he clarifies that reading the Bible is the most effective way to order the voice of God in our lives.
