What happens when we stop suppressing ?
Today’s episode is raw, intimate, and deeply human.
We talk about what it means to truly feel our feelings in a world that often teaches us to suppress them. Joy is acceptable. A little sadness is acceptable. But rage, grief, shame, anguish, heartbreak? Most of us were never taught how to safely feel those emotions without fearing them.
In this episode, I share why emotional release matters so deeply for our nervous system, our relationships, and our connection to self. I speak about the importance of creating safe spaces where all parts of us are welcome. Spaces where we do not need to perform, hide, shrink, or hold it all together.
I also share a very personal story about my pregnancy loss last November and the intense somatic release that followed. A moment where I allowed myself to scream, shake, contract, and fully surrender to the grief moving through my body. Not to lose myself… but to find my way back to my heart.
This conversation explores:
• why so many of us struggle to feel deeply
• the importance of safe emotional expression
• somatic release and nervous system healing
• purging emotions through sound, movement, tears, and breath
• healing through being witnessed in community
• unconditional acceptance and the power of belonging
• why grounding often comes after release, not before
Your release does not need to look like mine.
Maybe it’s screaming into a pillow. Maybe it’s crying in the forest. Maybe it’s shaking, dancing, running, breathing, or finally telling the truth about how you feel.
There is no perfect way to grieve. There is no perfect way to heal. There is only:
Honesty. Presence. Permission.
And sometimes… healing begins the moment we stop abandoning ourselves in the middle of our pain.
