Here it is, the annual granddaddy of them all, State Of The Vikings 2023! In the first segment, we put a Purple Bow on the 2022 season, including all the highs and lows, with all the dramatic comebacks along with the blowout losses, ultimately ending with being knocked out in the first round yet again. We pass out our yearly Minnesota Vikings awards and demerits at the end of segment one. In segment two, we get into the future of the Vikings, starting with free agency, and then briefly getting into the draft. Segment three is time to hear from you, including a great call from Gerald in Nebraska! We wrap the show up with the stars of the year, and name our two new Purple Mafia Hall Of Fame inductees!

Brian Flores has been hired by the Minnesota Vikings as our new defensive coordinator. We can expect a much more aggressive approach, and certain player will look better in this more creative and deceptive scheme, versus the overly predictable shell defense of last season. Super Bowl LVII was one for the ages, but had a fairly disappointing end.

The Minnesota Vikings are still deciding on who shall be the next defensive Coordinator as our offseason remains on hold for the time being. The Forty Niners unfortunately had a similar fate as the 2017 Vikings, and the Cincinnatti Bengals lost a heartbreaker, while Travis Kelce make a complete fool of himself throughout the postgame festivities. The Minnesota Vikings won a preseason style game against the Chicago Bears, who will now pick first overall in the draft coming up this coming spring. Luckily the Vikings had no injuries in this one, and as expected, will host the New York Giants on Super Wild Card Weekend. The Vikings drew a team that is very beatable, but with star right tackle Brian Oneill gone for the year, how far can this team go? Thank God we still have Christian Darrisaw!

The Minnesota Vikings had a golden opportunity to end the Packers season, AND get a step closer to the number one seed in the NFL, and what happened? A game that was "A Blizzard Of Balls" in a 41-17 loss, that basically was 41-3 versus Dallas all over again. This game also brought back many a rotten late season memory, that has cost the Vikings a multitude of chances for home field advantage, dating back several years.

The Minnesota Vikings went with an interesting look on Christmas Eve Saturday afternoon, with a whiteout through out the field, the fans in the stands and of course the uniforms, though their helmet stayed purple. It was an overall back and forth battle, as many a game have been this 2022 season for the Vikings and the New York Giants as well. Another game that may have been a loss, wound up a dramatic and awesome victory, this time with a 61 yard boot from Greg "The Leg" Joseph!
