Yo ho ho! It’s pirate week! So join WhoSoc and sail the seven galaxies as we look at The Pirate Planet (1978) and The Curse of the Black Spot (2011).

This episode I’m joined by avid Ghibli lover, Mathilda (IG: mathildascarlett), where we nerd out over the joy of Ghibli movies and the art of their animation, and also of the wider artistic possibilities of animation as a genre. Also included: a healthy dose of tangents on Ghibli food, TikTok pasta art, and Dungeons and Dragons (somehow?).

In the second episode of our podcast series focusing on our very own Doctor Who audios, we take on overly polite robots and killer buses in our discussion of episodes three and four, Mind Your Manners and Out of Service.

HLI helps donors and decision makers answer the important question: How can we use our resources most effectively to help people feel happier?  I will be talking to Barry about why we need to look at wellbeing, current HLI research and how we can use their findings to make the most good in the world
