Purpose City Church with Talaat and Tai McNeely

Is prayer a small, medium, or non-existent part of your life? What if none of those was the goal at all? What if there was more that was required of us by our heavenly father? That's what this message will unpack.

While many believers sincerely desire to spend time with God in prayer, few actually do.

Far too often we let the circumstances of life push the priority of prayer in our life further and further down the list.

Spiritual discipline is necessary to make prayer a priority in our lives. God, however, has made prayer a priority—directing his children to pray first, often, and always. Therefore, prayer should become a priority for us!

This is an encouragement to return to the mentality and heart of pasture, considering prayer as our first response and option.

God has only one "Plan A" for the advancement of His kingdom on earth and His plan is you. Moreover, He doesn't have a "Plan B".

Nothing about the God that we serve is average. Everything about Him is above average, as a matter of fact, everything He does is excellent. As His children, He expects nothing less from us.

The enemy wants us to be distracted and all over the place, completely unaware of who we are and who's we are. God, on the other hand, desires that we be fully focused and are making every effort to zero in on our purpose on this earth.

Sometimes we get so pre-occupied with waiting on God to make the next move that we fail to realize that He's actually waiting on us to make the next move.

God's purpose for our lives is for us to come under the influence of the Holy Spirit so that we can then go out to the world and help other people do the same.

If we are so focused on ourselves and our situations, it can cause us to fail to realize that there is a much bigger picture that we are missing out on. It's important that we recalibrate and zoom our lens of focus outward and upward to see things the way that God wants us to see them. The key to that recalibration is our prayer life.

Worship is the key to cultivating a deeper relationship with our heavenly Father. The problem is for some of us there is a huge roadblock between us and our worship. If we don't get past this block we can never be all the God has created us to be.

Being able to worship in God's presence is priceless, however, worship does come with a cost.
