This week for National Adoption Month I'm talking with Jill Hickerson about her journey through infertility and how she and her husband came to adoption.

All Jill wanted was a baby : it was all she thought about, talked about and prayed about but God's plan for her becoming a mom was not through pregnancy and once she learned to fully trust God and see that her plan was not the end all be all, she found both motherhood and peace.

This week for National Adoption Month I'm talking with Joni McCann.

8 1/2 years ago her and her husband became foster parents and just 7 months into that journey they had twin boys, straight out of the NICU, placed in their home who, 1 year later would become their adopted children. Today, their family serves as missionaries in South America and are able to use their story of adoption and the fact that their family looks different as a testimony to the Father's love for us.

This week I wanted to dive into the journey God has taken me on over the last 14-15 months with my back injury and how I have seen him bring purpose through back pain. There are a handful of things that I know would be different in my life (that I don't want to be different) had this extremely painful injury not occurred.

This injury has shown me full well that God can give purpose through the most painful trials of our lives.
