What do you do when you feel lost?

We have four ideas on how to make your seasons of purposelessness more purposeful:

  1. Allow yourself space to heal and explore. Too often, we try to fix it or dismiss it. In reality, that’s our defense. However, it’s not our truth. We need to pivot and change the way that we think and feel.
  2. Separate your worth from your work. Pain will emerge in the purposelessness season. We will think we are lazy or we are failures. It’s easy to feel worthy when you are working because you get a lot of satisfaction. Know the difference between business and distraction.
  3. Find joy in this space. We feel heaviness in the purposelessness season. It’s hard to find joy in this season. However, it’s exactly what we need to do to feel purposeful.
  4. Trust the process. When we face hardship, it feels all-encompassing; we forget that it’s a season. We don’t allow it to become a season because we attach it to our stories. We should allow it to be a fleeting experience.
