  • Episode 73: A Call to Action
In this episode I wanted to discuss some thoughts I had after attending a fitness conference. I wanted to invite us all, including myself, to work on looking at being more inclusive in the community we serve, the information we look towards, where we put our money and who we place on display or look to as leaders. Fitness does not fit in one box and the leaders in our fitness industry should also not fit into one box. Let me know your thoughts and feelings!

  • Episode 71: Periods and their Effect on Strength Training with Veronica McNelis
In this podcast Veronica McNelis educates me on the specific phases of the menstrual cycle and how each phase affects an individual's hormones and therefore also their training cycle. This is an important discussion to talk about as women often feel shamed and made to feel embarrassed about this topic. Men and women both need to be a part of the conversation and be made to feel like its not a gross or disgusting thing to talk about but something that we can freely talk about. • Episode 69: Body Image with Samantha Brennan and Tracy Isaacs
Samantha and Tracy are back for Part 2! These Authors of the blog Fit is a Feminist issue and the book Fit at Midlife are back again to discuss the topic of body image. We talked about how the concept of body image changed for them as they aged and why certain body image thoughts come about. The conclusion we came to is that it really doesn't matter what your outward appearance is, we all deal with the same challenges and internal difficulties with body image and if we can all be kinder to one and other, and to ourselves, we would be a whole lot better off!
